Getting Started with an Open School Group Subscription using the Access Code System

If you have purchased a group Open School subscription before November 15, 2021, please note that your subscription has been moved from the roster system to the access code system.

Any person who serves as a key contact for their organization's Open School group subscription will be able to retrieve the access code for the subscription and distribute it to the intended participants.

A participant must have an account on the IHI website and can follow the instructions for creating one if they have not yet done so. Participants can then go to www.ihi.org/OnlineCourses and follow these instructions for utilizing the access code to participate in the Open School subscription.

Resources to help you plan and promote your program

• Access the Educator’s Toolkit (you need to be a Open School Company Administrator to view), which includes ready-made teaching materials for all 13 courses in the Basic Certificate: Slides, homework assignments, exams, lesson plans, reading lists, and more
• Customize this flyer to promote the Open School courses at your own organization
• Browse the course catalog and course summaries to determine which courses you would like to recommend to your participants

Please note: You will receive your access code via an automatic confirmation email the morning after you enroll. If you enroll after the 15th of the month, your start date will be the 1st of the following month.
